I realize that I've already written an article on Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce's comments at the Leipzig Games Convention, but being a huge fan of information delivered via video I felt compelled to show this short video from Techeblog.com. Hope you enjoy.
More information revealed about Battle.net 2.0 after the jump.
We've been told by Pearce that a big reason why StarCraft 2 won't release this year is because they aren't close to finishing development of Battle.net 2.0. Well, OK, but could you at least throw us a bone Blizzard? What can we expect this new conduit to our gaming world to be like? This is where our friends from StarCraftWire.net come in to save the day. They scoured the net gathering tidbits of information spoken by Blizzard reps over the last month and have pieced together a rough picture of what this new Battle.net could look like.
Please remember that while the assumptions derived from these quotes are valid, the information is by no means final and the development of Battle.net 2.0 is very much up in the air. Head over to starcraftwire.net to read their story.
I also came across an interesting editorial about one writer's experience with StarCraft II at the Leipzig GC and thought I'd share it with you as well. You can read his impressions at shacknews.com.
I'd like to let everyone know that I'm away on vacation all this week and won't be posting. I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday weekend and I'll be back next Monday.
